Angella is a 16 year old enrolled in primary four and lives with her mother in a poor farming village. Angella likes to play with dolls and jump rope with friends. She also loves school, but is unable to attend regularly because her mother doesn’t have the money for fees. Angella’s mother, the sole supporter of the family, is a subsistence farmer, producing only enough for the family to eat and just a little to sell. As a result, Angella may not be able to go to school at all without a sponsorship.
