After several months of pruning, growth, and quite frankly silence God has chosen to open our hearts and eyes to the vision He has for Mountains Of Hope. We aren't quite ready to unveil that to the world because there are a couple of things that have to take place first. I want to take a moment and thank Shana Leedy for serving as our Secretary for the first year we have been in existence. Although we did not have a very busy first year Shana was willing to serve and for that we are grateful. God is moving Shana into a new season and she has stepped down. This leaves the officers position of Secretary now open. We are also seeking to add two regular board members as the vision God has given us is going to require more help. Will you please join us in praying that God will reveal to us exactly who He desires to serve with us. If you should have any questions about what it means to be a board member please do not hesitate to reach out to us and we will be happy to share that with you.
I can share with you that God has shown us that the fields are white unto harvest right here in beautiful Pigeon Forge and much of our focus will be in our own back door. Matthew 25: 37-40 has Jesus himself sharing these words, "37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers,[f] you did it to me.’" We are surrounded with the least of these on a daily basis and Mountains Of Hope will serve them by meeting physical needs as well as offering the hope that can only be found in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
As requested before please join us in praying for God to bring the people he desires to serve with us as board members for Mountains Of Hope, Inc. also pray that God would continue to reveal the details of His vision for the ministry. Pray we remain humble and sensitive. Ask God to grant us wisdom and discernment as we move forward. We thank you and praise the One who was, who is and ever shall be.
